What it is for, who it suits
A paper road log never runs out of battery and needs no signal. On a self-drive trip it holds what you quickly forget: the odometer at the start of each leg, the last fuel stop, your campsite pitch number, the rental company's number, a park gate's opening hours. In the evening it becomes the travel diary, with sketches and tickets glued in.
This one has a rigid embossed faux-leather cover with a diamond pattern and bronze finish, which protects the pages in a door pocket or glovebox. Inside is plain white sketch paper, unlined, 12.3 × 17 cm: small enough for a bag pocket, big enough for a hand-drawn track map.
Limits: it is heavy for a notebook (about 500 g packed), made for the car rather than light hiking. Pages are unlined. The supplier does not state the page count.
