1.The NAD/EUR budget spreadsheet
Around twenty realistic lines (flights, 4x4 and insurance, fuel calculated per kilometre, accommodation by category, parks, food, activities, SIM, tips). Live formulas in the Excel version: change “2 travellers, 15 days” to “4 travellers, 18 days” and everything recalculates, in both currencies.
2.The complete gear checklist
Eight categories, from paperwork to pharmacy via camping and photography, with Namibia-specific traps: type D/M plug adapter, 0 °C comfort sleeping bag for the southern winter, one headlamp per person, dust bags for lenses. Tickable, printable.
3.The day-by-day itinerary template
21 rows ready to fill in with the columns that matter: departure and arrival stop, kilometres, driving time, accommodation, category, price, booked or not, activities. Three worked example rows to start on the right foot.

Readers' questions
How does the budget spreadsheet work?
You enter three parameters — number of travellers, number of days, EUR/NAD rate — and every line recalculates: 4x4 rental, fuel per kilometre, accommodation by category, parks, food, activities, sundries. Each line shows its total in Namibian dollars and in euros, with the final cost per person.
What formats do the files come in?
The spreadsheet comes in two versions: Excel (.xlsx, with live formulas — works in Excel, LibreOffice, Numbers, Google Sheets) and a pre-calculated CSV for anything else. The checklist and the itinerary template come as Markdown and CSV, readable and printable everywhere. Note: the kit's labels are currently in French — the figures and formulas are universal.
Are the pre-filled prices realistic?
Yes: every line is pre-filled with the 2026 ranges we document (fuel 20-22 NAD/litre, parks ~150 NAD/day, camping €15-30/person, equipped 4x4 €90-160/day…). You then adjust them with your own quotes — that's what it's built for.
Is the kit included in the complete Bundle?
Yes. The €39 Bundle includes the “Namibia on your own” guide (€29) and this kit (€19) — a €9 saving. If you're hesitating, take the Bundle: the guide explains the trade-offs, the kit puts numbers on them.
