What it is for, who it suits
A headlamp is for working; for dinner under the awning or the evening around the camp table, a lantern lights everyone without dazzling. In Namibia as in Oman, many pitches have neither power nor lighting.
This lantern combines warm tungsten-filament-style light and whiter LEDs, used separately or together. A knob dims continuously, from night light to table lighting. It runs on two built-in 18650 batteries, charges over USB-C during the driving day, and a four-step indicator shows the remaining charge. Its USB port can top up a phone in the evening. It measures 14 × 9.5 cm, with an ABS, PC and aluminium body.
Limits: the supplier gives neither run time nor water resistance rating; keep it under the awning or in the tent when it rains. Using the USB output drains its batteries accordingly.
