What it is for, who it suits
On gravel roads (Namibia, Botswana, Iceland, Patagonia) tyre pressure changes everything: rental companies often ask you to deflate on gravel and reinflate back on tarmac, to values given at pick-up. Station gauges are rare and sometimes wrong, and you want to check in the morning before driving, with cold tyres.
This gauge fits in the hand: press the nozzle on the valve and the reading shows on a backlit screen, readable at dusk, while a light on the nozzle helps find the valve in the dark. It reads 0 to 10 bar (0 to 150 PSI), with 0.05 bar resolution and a stated accuracy of ± 1.5 PSI (about ± 0.1 bar). Four units: bar, PSI, kPa, kg/cm². It switches itself off.
Limits: it measures, it does not inflate; you still need a compressor or a station. It runs on three AG13 button cells (LR44 equivalent): carry spares.
