What it is for, who it suits
In the sun. Climbing Dune 45 at 10 a.m., a failed air-con on a 400 km transfer, a midday wait at a border post: desert heat tires you fast, and heat exhaustion comes sooner than people think, especially for children and older travellers.
What it changes. Wet, wrung and snapped, the towel turns cool to the touch; on the neck or shoulders it brings relief on foot or on the road. Re-wet it from your bottle when it dries.
How they are made. High-evaporation microfibre, no added chemicals according to the supplier. Two sky-blue 30 × 100 cm towels, machine washable. 116 g for both.
Before you order. It is an evaporation effect: strong in dry air (Namibia, Oman, Morocco), weaker in tropical humidity. Not a treatment: with signs of heatstroke, get to shade, drink and seek care.
Timing. 8 to 15 working days: order at least three weeks before you leave. 14-day returns.

How long do they stay cool?
As long as there is water evaporating: in dry air you re-wet them now and then. The supplier gives no figure.
Do they work in the tropics?
Less well: humid air slows evaporation and so the cooling feeling.
