What it is for, who it suits
On gravel. On gravel a slow puncture cannot be felt at the wheel: the tyre loses a little air every kilometre, heats up, then the carcass gives way, sometimes at 80 km/h. Namibian rental firms charge for destroyed tyres, and many vehicles carry two spares for hundreds of kilometres.
What it changes. The display shows each tyre's pressure and temperature at all times: an abnormal drop shows at once and you stop before the tyre is ruined.
How it is made. Colour dashboard display charged by a built-in solar panel, four external wheel-marked sensors that screw on in place of valve caps, no tyre removal. Stated range 0 to 6 bar. 200 g packed.
Before you order. Beyond 6 bar it is out of range: for cars, SUVs and light 4x4s, not trucks. Sensors are easy to steal in car parks: remove them in towns. It warns, it does not prevent; keep a gauge for precise setting.
Timing. 8 to 15 working days: order three weeks ahead to get used to the display. 14-day returns.

Buyers' questions
Do the tyres need removing?
No, the sensors screw on in place of the valve caps.
Will it work on a rental 4x4?
Yes at usual light-4x4 pressures (up to 6 bar). Refit the original caps on return.
