What it is for, who it suits
Parked. Two hours in the sun at an Etosha waterhole or at Sossusvlei and the cabin is unbearable: burning wheel, scorching seats, and the phone left on the dashboard shutting down from heat, offline maps and all.
What it changes. The reflective surface sends much of the sun back: a cooler cabin, a protected dashboard, less work for the air-con.
How it is made. Reflective metallised polyester on a pop-open frame, 150 × 70 cm flat. Folds to a tenth of its size into the pouch. 200 g.
Before you order. 150 × 70 cm fits most saloon and SUV windscreens; on a big pick-up or motorhome the edges stay uncovered. Folding takes practice. Use only when parked.
